From my own experience I know, that most of high-school graduates have no idea about future job. Moreover university and college have mostly chosen by their parents.

Never, NEVER LET YOUR PARENTS CHOOSE WHERE TO STUDY FOR YOU!
The biggest secret, that your parents hiding from you, is that impossible to love your job, as well as your study. You can only hate it. Career, interesting job, unique projects - all these tricky things for brainwashed schoolboys. This is supported in favor of big business. System needs slaves.
If some activity could be interesting, this would only be your own business. But job and employment is permanent slavery in any case, work is for cattle.
Anyway, lets take a look at what jobs are high paying in the Philippines in 2014. In other words where you could get real money after graduating your university.
1. Programmer, developer. Easy to get job with salary 100-150k pesos per month with minimum of experience after graduating university. Great opportunity for extra income.
2. Engineer (construction engineer). Initial salary after graduation is around 60k (if you don't play the fool during study). To get main engineer position you have to wait at least 5 years, but it's worth it - main engineers salary starting from 200k and goes until infinity.

5. Brand manager. This is marketing, not many positions and it's difficult to get it. Advantage is you don't need to do anything, you don't even need to scribble articles in large amounts. Just drink coffee and generate ideas! Starting salary is around 80k per month. Real brand manager in real big company gets millions of pesos.
This is top 5 high paying jobs in the Philippines. But the most delicious I left for dessert. For all those jobs you need brain, hardworking, good luck in the end. But where to study and get guaranteed high paying job after? There is such place! And it's called pilot courses and flight attendants (for girls). So my young friend with pimples, pilot courses is your best choice!
